The Journal of Military and Veterans’ Health (JMVH) is the peer-reviewed journal of the Australasian Military Medicine Association (AMMA). It provides and promotes information for health professionals working and researching in the unique facets of military and veterans’ medicine.
JMVH is published quarterly and distributed to AMMA members, military health services, academic libraries, and allied health professionals across the Australasian region and beyond.
The journal is fully open-access and licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence, ensuring worldwide access for researchers and clinicians.
The April 2026 edition of the Journal of Military and Veterans’ Health is now available. This issue includes original research, editorials, and review articles spanning mental health, aeromedical evacuation, trauma, and veterans’ transition.
Published quarterly and freely available to all readers under an open-access Creative Commons licence.

The Journal of Military and Veteran’s Health is a peer reviewed medical journal, with an emphasis on military medicine and veteran’s health and is available to AMMA members in print copy. The JMVH is available to the public in electronic copy free of charge via the JMVH website.
JMVH publishes quarterly and issues are published in the following months: January, April, July and October.
